The University of Saskatchewan, College of Law offers the Foster Prize in Human Rights as part of its undergraduate scholarship program. Initiated by Dr. John W. Foster - a Friend of Lambda - the scholarship has a value of $500. and is offered annually to students pursuing an LL.B. who have completed one of the following courses in human rights in the last regular session: a) Sallows Human Rights Seminar (Law 433.3) or; b) Human Rights (Law 432.3). Selection is based on the best essay written in either of the above courses. Preference will be given to papers focusing on the following areas: trade, investment and human rights; or human rights issues affecting gays and lesbians. |
