Please apply for a Lambda Foundation scholarship or award directly to any of seven currently participating universities.

Lambda Foundation annual scholarships are awarded without discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation, sex gender, race, language, religion culture, disability, etc. They are open to any graduate student  or researcher in any field of studies, whose project relates to gay and lesbian people. Your application will be stronger if you are able to demonstrate good grades and some prior community involvement.  Projects may include theses, publications, advanced studies, etc.

Awards by each participating university, on the basis of three criteria:

  • your academic dossier,
  • relevance of your topic to the gay and lesbian community and human rights generally, and
  • assessment by the university of the merit of the proposal.

Potential for publication and of involvement in community work are usually considered an asset. Lambda Foundation arranges opportunities for the public to recognize the recipients.

Deadlines for aplications are  set by the university committee concerned, usually under the guidance of graduate studies.

Many graduate studies can qualify - arts, letters, social sciences and other sciences, and professional schools. The annual recipients are, on occasion, invited to a popular recognition ceremony.
